What is your title or role at HBC?

Co-Deacon of Children’s Ministry

Tell us about your family…spouse, kids, pets?

My husband and I got married in 2011. Fast forward a few years and we have three littles. Life is a bit crazy sometimes, but we wouldn’t have it any other way!

Give a brief description of what you are responsible for…

I oversee Highlands Kingdom Kids- creating lessons and an environment that all point to Jesus. While parents are upstairs listening to the sermon, we are downstairs sharing Biblical truths with children, that we hope are creating a foundation that leads to their own salvation in Jesus Christ.

What do you love most about what you do at HBC?

I love getting to know the children and their parents, but there is nothing more exciting to me than when a child is so genuinely excited to learn about God. When we ask them questions to review the week before, and they remember so clearly what they learned, or when we are practicing a verse and they remember it – those are really good moments.

What is your favorite Bible verse, and why?

Matthew 6:34 – “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. As someone who has wrestled with worry and anxiety, this verse has helped me to remember that God is in control of ALL things – my every worry and every fear.”

How long have you been attending HBC?

I grew up attending Green Pond Bible Chapel and was a member of the launch team of Highlands Bible Church.

What 3 things do you do for fun outside of HBC?

Spending time with my family | Coffee dates at The Daily Bean | Shopping with my mom and sister.
