Christian Education Assistance Fund

Many Christian families are experiencing the adverse influences of cultural drifts and social pressures in their children’s education institutions. Attending a Christian school or Christian homeschooling is a worthwhile investment in your child’s eternal future. At Highlands, we firmly believe that providing a Christ-centered Biblical worldview where our children are challenged academically and nurtured spiritually will help them to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a heart for Christian service, leadership and evangelism. God calls us to equip and intellectually prepare our children to live their lives with a sound Biblical perspective.

We are pleased to provide financial assistance for member families of Highlands Bible Church who are investing in a Christ-centered education model for their children, and are bearing the additional financial burden accompanied with their ministerial decision. The Christian Education Assistance Fund (CEAF) provides assistance for these families in two ways:

Christian School Tuition Assistance Program

Tuition assistance is available for families with children in Christian School with the following qualifications:

When and How to Apply

Applicants can apply between September 1 – September 15th for eligibility in this yearly program. Qualifying applications are eligible for a September and January endowment towards tuition costs. Late enrollment applicants missing the September deadline can apply at the January endowment between January 15th – 30th.

Applications will be processed and benefits will be dispersed within 2 weeks of the application deadline. Qualifying applicants will receive a letter in the mail verifying the amount of support provided for the year. All funds are sent directly to the child’s school. Please note, the amount of support will vary each season depending on the amount in the CEAF fund.

Homeschool Reimbursement Program

Portions of the Christian Education Assistance Fund are set aside to provide curriculum reimbursement benefits for Homeschooling families. These services are defined below:

  • Applicant family must be members of Highland Bible Church
  • Curriculum must be purchased within 4 months of the instructional season. (re-used curriculum that is not purchased for the active school year is ineligible)
  • Curriculum must align with the HBC Doctrinal Statement
  • Qualifying applicants are eligible for a 25% reimbursement of curriculum cost from the Christian Education Assistance Fund. These funds are disbursed on a first-come-first-serve basis. Benefits are provided as long as CEAF funds allow. Families with many children and heavy curriculum costs are encouraged to apply at the earliest application submission opportunity. CEAF funds are subject to change annually

When and How to Apply

Applicants can apply between September 1 – September 15th for an annual one-time endowment towards curriculum reimbursement. A midyear endowment for late enrollment is available for application between January 15th – 30th.

Funds are disbursed annually. Applications will be processed and benefits will be dispersed within 2 weeks of the application deadline. Qualifying applicants will receive a letter in the mail with an explanation of benefits and check for the purchasing family. A courtesy phone call will be provided to families receiving more than $100 checks in the mail so that they can monitor the mail service. Please note, the amount of support will vary each year depending on the amount in the CEAF fund. In addition, remember to submit the receipts of purchase with the application as directed.
