Tell us about your family…spouse, kids, pets?
Married to Debbie for 40 years. 4 sons 1 daughter. 4 out of 5 are married. We have 11 grandchildren and anticipating 1 more in June. My single son is a physician assistant and in the army reserves. We have two dogs.

Elder Treasurer
Give a brief description of what you are responsible for…
One of 6 plurality of elders. I am Elder Treasurer and member of the finance team.
What do you love most about what you do at HBC?
I enjoy the family relationships we have with our church members. I love the many opportunities we have to fellowship, encourage and pray for one another.
What is your favorite Bible verse, and why?
2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be completely equipped for every good work. These are my two favorite verses because they stand the test of time. 42 years ago I learned to trust the entire Bible to be true and accurate by trusting these two verses. I was taught. I was rebuked. I was corrected. And I was trained in righteousness to be equipped for every good work. And 42 years later, the Bible is still alive, dynamic and active. And continues to teach, reproof, correct, and train me in righteousness so I can be equipped to do the perfect work that God has prepared in advance for me to be doing.”
How long have you been attending HBC?
I’ve been here from the beginning. About 8 years ago. I was here with others when we started praying for a church in Vernon.
What 3 things do you do for fun outside of HBC?
1. Spend as much time as possible with grandchildren.
2. Hike at the top of Highland
Lakes mountain.
3. Vacation with Debbie and our extended family.
