What is your title or role at HBC?
Deacon of benevolence
Give a brief description of what you are responsible for…
I am responsible for initially reviewing benevolence applications and discussing the needs of the applicants with our benevolence team. Have follow up discussions with applicants and narrow down where HBC can best help financially as well as help with financial or biblical counseling.
What do you love most about what you do at HBC?
Caring for and helping others.
What is your favorite Bible verse, and why?
2 Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is God breathed, useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. These two verses stand the test of time. 42 years after I became a Christian and I’m still learning to trust God and his word.
How long have you been attending HBC?
About 10 years. From the beginning.
What 3 things do you do for fun outside of HBC?
1. Spend as much time with the grandchildren as possible. 2. Hike at the top of Highland Lakes mountain. 3. Vacation with Debbie and our extended family.
