My wife is Barbara, we have 6 girls and two boys. We have saltwalter fish and a koi pond as well as two semi-feral cats.

Elder
Give a brief description of what you are responsible for…
At Highland Bible Church, we are an independent Bible church focused on making and maturing disciples of Jesus. As an elder, I am first responsible to love and faithfully follow God, and then to help shepherd others toward Him. Together with the other elders, I share in providing spiritual oversight through prayer, teaching, counsel, and guiding the life of the church. I also lead the Monday evening care group.
What do you love most about what you do at HBC?
I most love the true reflection of the love and grace of God I see in practice at highlands. It is not just words.
What is your favorite Bible verse, and why?
My favorite verse is Proverbs 3:5-6. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. We don’t always understand why thing happen but we always need to lean into our savior because he is always at work, he is always trust worthy and sometimes I need to be reminded of that.

What 3 things do you do for fun outside of HBC?
Oh just 3! I am going to cheat with the first thing because I also play guitar and sing on the worship team so it’s both in and out of HBC. I am an amateur radio extra class operator. I love reading biographies, science fiction and French literature (in french).
